2010 Explorer
Its been some time since I've been on this forum. I own a 2010 Explorer and my wife has a 2012 Edge. I'm having trouble with the Edge and wondering if anyone has come across the same issues here. The turn signals work fine but the four way hazard lights don't function. The edge has the little red triangle above the cd slot below the touch screen to activate the flashers. I can find no fuse or relay listed in the owners manual for the hazard lights. I also have an intermittent problem with the backup camera. It will function fine for a few days and other days its a black screen or a blurry mess. Any help fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Forum Marty.
Regarding the camera, given the age of the vehicle, it could be that the camera needs to be replaced. Check to make sure that the issue isn't with the wiring connector. As for the hazard lights, there doesn't appear to be any fuse or relay listed as you've mentioned. I wonder if it could be the switch itself that is the problem? I don't know how to check that without taking it out.

I've checked a few other sites and some suggest it might be a bad front information control module. This controls the entertainment system as well as the climate control and flasher. I'll try and see if I can find one at a local bone yard.

So are there issues with the entertainment and HVAC systems as well?

If the module was bad then I would expect that all items it controls would be affected. But then I'm just guessing.

The camera issue sounds like the camera is bad.but check the camera connection and see if there isn't any moisture buildup on the camera.and the 4 ways don't have a relay.the button is the on/off and the relay.
