Hi All
Hope you dont mind a newbie asking questions on here for first posts..
Dont have an Explorer yet, but needing to replace my ageing Patrol.
Still ok mechanically, but I'm getting fed up with the continual rolling around underneath, welding at every MOT.
I'm getting too old for it, like a tortoise on it's back trying to get up !! So, it's got to go.
Looked at all the alternatives, Mitzi, Isuzu, etc. Thought about a Cherokee, but they have transmissions like cheese, so finally settled on an Explorer, and will be looking for LPG conversion.
So, question is : I know about the timing chain probs & the dodgy transfer boxes, but what else should I be looking out for?
