i recently acquired a 91 explorer. last owner said it has a 2.5 inch suspension lift via spacers and shackles. I have 32X12.5 tires on it that rub at full lock on the swaybars but really arent too bad.

I want roughly a 6 inch suspension lift on a budget (if possible). I have welding skills and could easily do a SOA conversion and weld perches on.

Would i need new rear shocks with a SOA conversion?

Also what do I do about the fronton a budget? Can i use f-250 springs perhaps to raise it up or are they too large in diameter?

ill also obviously be adding a 3 inch bodylift but thats fairly self explanatory

thanks for your time

Yes, you will need new shocks I would think, or they will limit your tire travel.
an F250 spring will be wider than an Explorer, whether it will work or not, I have no idea. I know my top buckets are a stock Explorers and they hold the spring in place nicely (I have Bronco Coils), but I don't know about the lower perches.

i have the ability to fab quite a few parts throughout the lift but im just lookin for what i can use to make the front level on a budget.

sorry if this has been asked before
