05 XLT
I just bought this 05 XLT its only got 49k miles. Here's the problem. While driving doesn't matter the speed I hear a whining noise and once I let off the gas it goes away. In hopes of fixing that I just had the rear diff serviced. Still makes the sound.

My other issue is I was coming down a canyon yesterday and I was just coasting down a hill and the front driver side kinda growled at me and felt like the breaks were being applied to just that side. My first guess was a wheel bearing, so I jacked it up last night and tried to wiggle the tires and every thing felt solid all the way around.

Another issue is I was pulling a little trailer over the weekend and when I when up a slight incline where it needed to shift it pulled pretty hard to the right then when it shifted back out of that gear it corrected and jerked left.

I took it to Les Schwab today and they cant figure it out either. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Brad

I'm kinda new here so take that under consideration.

My Ex used to whine on acceleration quite frequently. And that was from when I bought it ('02) until about 2 years ago.

Lifting my foot off the pedal and then accelerating again always stopped it. Can't say what changed things though.
Perhaps it's still doing it and at my middle age (46) my ears no longer pick it up.
Or, only dogs hear it.:D

Brad if you are towing don't tow in OD... just an FYI. If you have dragging when breaking or coasting and the front end is tight you prob got a caliper on the way out. Congrats on yer Ex! This is a great forum to keep it in tip top shape!
