Thought I would introduce myself, my name is Andy, and I have owned a 1995 XLT 4wd 4 door for 6 years, and it is getting rather long in the tooth. I do all my own work on this vehicle.
I need some help with ABS, my light is on most of the time. I can turn off the truck, and then restart either rolling or at a stop, and it will usually go away, or return soon after. It is a manual transmission, and I just replaced the front disc pads, and replaced brake fluid.
Any ideas? I have researched this a lot, and some say the rear sensor may be bad, or the hydraulic pump may be bad, but most say have it diagnosed with a computer tester.
Anyone in the Denver area have a code reader for the ABS computer??? If so, could I come by and borrow it for 10 minutes?
Thanks,
