Hi all, I'm over here from the Jeep side of the house looking for information about the ford 8.8 axle from the "experts" on ford products.

I'm not sure if anyone knows this, but the Explorer axle is a very popular axle to swap under Jeeps due to it's strength, and width (within 1.25"). I'm in the middle of this swap myself.

There are some great looking vehicles on here, and hopefully I'll see some of you on the trails!

Good luck, and happy wheeling

P.S. Although I'm not a dedicated Ford fan, I can appreciate any vehicle that is well thought out and executed. I promise you I'll keep the Jeep vs Ford thing alone. (although I may be slightly biased)

Ah yes, you guys keep our rear axles valuable, THANKS!!! :)

Actually, a few guys around here are using ya'lls front axles, so it all equals out.

Welcome aboard John! Hope we can help out a little with your questions.

welcome..... and yes, we know the jeep guys rag on us all the time, but they want OUR SUPERIOR parts ;)

im not a souly ford or chevy or jeep guy, im a car guy, if its done up and thought out and not "ricey" than its cool... im not even dissing imports, as long as its done properly and thought out......

300 seems to be the bottom line around here for 95+ axles.

And I agree with Jimabena's saying. I'm a car (truck) guy too.

Thanks for the welcome.

John
