Just picked it up today, and I used this site for info on easy ways to replace the radius arm bushings. I'll be doing a lot more to this thing I fear [lol], so I figured I'd join up!

But yeah the interior is in very good shape [three little pokes in the back seat and a 3" tear in the driver's seat which needs new foam on the lumbar], and it has everything available in an EB aside from an automatic... which is why I bought it!

One of the easiest and smoothest manuals I've ever driven [even my Mustang requires muscle to go through gears!]

How did you find a ex-police explorer and are there any different then the every day explorer like more power or stiffer frame?

I think he just special ordered it with every EB option and a 5-speed. The rear has a trac-lok and it has remote locks. It might have had more power but it sure doesn't now!

And why it was so cheap... it passed emissions but needed only ONE thing for inspection and the PO didn't have the money.

I used this site's write-ups to see how hard it would be to replace, which helped make my decision.

Tan on Tan is a nice color choice I would have liked mine to have a stick in mine and I got to do the radius arm bushings as well.

Honestly if it would have been an auto I wouldn't even have thought twice about buying it. I hate anything that's automatic, mainly because my luck with automatics SUCKS! XD

Autos are just not fun, only time I'm glad I have my auto is when I'm packing the trailer up the driveway. Stop in the street, throw it in reverse and back up a steep hill that curves and continues to curve all the way to the back yard.
90% of time, I wish it was a 5 speed

Great looking truck. Can't be too many Eddie's with a manual running around. Have you found the cup holders to be useless yet?

The cup holder issue will be fixed with some shifter modifications haha.
