Damn, that looked like fun. I can't believe Paul was subjecting his body panels to those frozen branches.

That stuff'll just buff out... My primary concern was spearing one of the door skins (vinyl windows and canvas...) And, I almost did drive off a cliff today, without the concern of body damage to the uphill quarter panels... Just squirrely backing up. . .

Sorry about your kid's leg Kevin (and you missing out on wheelin), hope he has a short recovery. Had a good time with everyone, thanks again guys.

So, some interesting things about the ARB compressor.

I pulled it out and pulled the tank off. I couldn't see any debris in the tank valve or the reed valve on the top of the piston.

I put it back together and hooked it up, then ran it with the engine off. It ran like normal, pumped up the tank in about 15sec.

I bolted it back in (PITA cause of where I mounted it) and again ran it with the engine off. ran like normal still.

Start the engine and with the increased voltage from the charging system, the compressor spins a lot faster. With engine running, I had the same problem of the pump continually running with varying sound, like the reed valve on the piston isn't closing.

I called ARB USA this morning and they asked me to bring it in so they could bench test it. They are only 10 miles from me but it's 10 in the opposite direction of work.

I'll drop it off tomorrow and hope they can figure it out ASAP or give me a new one.

Finally got down there today. They hooked it up on their bench and it wouldn't build any pressure. He turned it off and on a couple times then it stopped running all together.

They recorded the serial number and gave me a new one in the box and my old one back since it still had the pressure switch and solenoid mounted to it.

The new one's all together on the bench but I haven't pressure tested or bolted it back in the truck yet. Been keeping the kid focused on his homework while Mom was at work.

I'm on call this weekend so I hope the weather will cooperate and I can do a few 'things' to it.

Oh yeah, they called this afternoon to tell me the pressure switch I called about 3 weeks ago, was ready at will call. Why couldn't they have called this morning?

I guess I'll have them ship it to me now. Not that I need it anymore since there was one in the new box I picked up, then I'll have 3!

Maybe I can sell it on ebay or cl, suckers cost $35.

on at 75psi, off at 100psi

New compressor is in and holding pressure for more than 30minutes, too bad I'm on call this weekend
