Hi all
I lowered the x back in September using Canuck Motorsports lowering springs. Some of you may remember my rant about having a 2 inch rake afterward. I waited 9 months for things to settle but nothing really changed.
I finally got around to installing the ingalls camber kit because \I picked up a set of 20's and didn't want to ruin them with the serious negative camber I was running after the drop....the front was the worst. I decided to change the upper control arms at the same time so I could have all new ball joints and bushings at the same time,
The job was a PITA and took me about 5 hours. Everything that could go wrong did but.....
The end result looks great. The negative camber is gone. I still need an alignment but it's pretty close. I stepped back to look at the x and noticed it was sitting a bit higher in the front after the install. I grabbed the tape measure and discoverd a pleasant surprise.
Before the install I had 31 front and 33 rear to the bottom of the fenders.
After the install I had exactly 32 inches at all four corners. I;m not sure why the rear changed because I only intalled the fronts. I can only assume that with the front comming up an inch the weight has shifted some to the rear.
I noticed a much improved and balanced ride on the way home as well.
If only I hadn't been so lazy about getting this done. I would have saved myselft a set of tires.
