Ive been considering 18s or 20s for a while now, and i came across a nice set of 18" rims with 255/55ZR18 Nitto NT 404 Extreme Force ZX rubber. How does that setup sound for a 95 sport? im also planning on lowering it prolly 2" just for future reference

I have the same size tire except I have the Toyo Proxes S/T and I'm lowered 2 inches. Nitto makes a great tire, you'd be happy with it.

i have Nitto's and i am VERY happy with them. d@mn good tire, if you ask me. also, i had a cousin with the Toyo S/T's, and they are also good. i have gotten very good wear with my Nitto's, despite my complete lack of respect for the rear's.;)

With the Nittos.....how long would one expect to get the tires to last with some highway driving and not a whole lot of going crazy. They don't have any kind of warranty on them do they? I have talked to guy down at Discount Tires for gettin the Dunlop Grand Trek 275/55/17 from $136 all the way down to $75 a tire. I would say that is a damned good deal, but who knows, the Nittos might be worth it?

James T, with your 'lack of respect for the rear tires' how often do you change out your rear brakes? Do you have rear discs or drums. I have 4 wheel discs and i got pretty close to ruining my calipers when doing a burnout one time. I practically fried the calipers, i had to get em rebuilt. That is an impressive burnout you got in your pic, was there any bleach or tire jelly on those or is that all Explorer? What engine stuff do you have done? Is that with the Zex N2O going...that looks nice...

if you can get Dunlops for $75, then go for it. who cares if they dont last quite as long as others, you only paid $300 for 'em. as for the Nitto's, i have only 10k on mine, and they look brand new. as for the avatar, no bleach, no nitrous, just brake and gas held at the same time. i have rear discs, with performance friction pads and "i cant remember what brand" slotted rotors. no damage done. i do hope to break an axle soon, though. :p
