ok so i figured out that i have no brake lights at all. ok get my tester out and yep no power at the high side of the bulb. Ok i got a bad brake switch no big one. So I get on the ground to look at what i am getting myself into. what i find is one wire with a nick in the insulation. Hum maybe just a bad connection so i puled the fues and cut the wire striped enough to make a good connection hooked it back up. brake lights on nope. so i get my tester out one that has an led lights up red for hot green for ground. i tested the switch. when pushed it does light that its hot and when i bypass the switch the brake lights do work but when i hook the wire up and hit the brake again nothing. test when wire is connected just showes ground and no hot. so i figure there is something wrong with the switch in the end might be bad contacts in the switch with high Ohmage and when there is a load there it does not work. anyone else have an issue like this.........
