While trying to add heated mirrors and side blinkers, my dash lights, wheel lights, and door panel lights stopped working.... I checked the fuses and they looked good.. could it be a relay or???? If its a relay which one would it be and could it be swapped with another to check it?

Just about has to be a fuse. Check fuse 26 on the fuse box on the side of the dash. It controls the relays and courtesy lamps for the circuits you are having problems with. (from the factory service manual...fuse 26: battery saver relay, interior light relay, interior lights, ACC delay relay, Courtesy lamps)

Except the "wheel lights." I must be off in space this morning because I'm not sure what you are referring to there.

Prolly means the steering wheel lights...the ones for the CC perhaps?

I checked all of the fuses, pulling them out one by one and making sure they werent blown...they all look fine..Its the illumination of the dash, door buttons and steering wheel buttons, c.c along with stereo controls, that dont light up...the fog lights are not coming on along with the button light for them, but i dont know if that was a previous issue. Dome lights, headlights, turn signals, dash warning lights, hazards, stereo, and climate controls all work.

looking at a fuse is like looking at a woman ... she might "look" alright but when you get down to it, she might not be any good... use a meter.

Having said that, it probably not a relay or fuse... where perchance were you adding the "stuff" to?????

ok, i found the bad fuse...it was mini fuse 11, 15a, in the engine compartment. All of the lights are on including the fog lights. I connected the heated mirror to the back side of the switch using dg/vt and the black wire. How hot should these mirrors be getting? I taped a kitchen thermometer probe onto the mirror, and it stayed at 66, the same as the mirror that doesnt have the heating element hooked up yet. The back window on defrost was at 68. Its a little colder out now so im going to try it again.

The side blinker i found the green wire coming from the driver side signal under the dash along with a random black wire....i guess that is where i screwed up...What wires do i need to connect to?

I only have the one mirror hooked up and no side blinkers wired at this time..... i think i have screwed up enough already guessing on my own.......ive had my share of women i wish i could have tested with a meter....at least im not losing my hair over a good looking fuse :)
