No reverse.

Hello, im new to the X family. i purchased a '97 5spd control trac that had sat for a few years. It ran great for a few weeks and all of a sudden i get a minor grind in reverse (no movement) and and a clunk into any foward gears. i understand this is a BW 4405 TC, can anyone help? i think i would prefer a manual shift TC, is the 13-54 a direct swap? just add shift linkage? any help appreciated

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the transmissions & transfer cases section. You might have an issue with the shift fork or the shift rail in the transfer case.
