no sound from new head unit

alright, i just installed a sony head unit into my 95 explorer xlt. is there any amps or anything i have to bypass to get the sound to work? it powers on and everything but it just wont make noise. it didnt even come with a stock cd player, so i figured there was no amps.

You'll have to connect the stock amp remote wire to the remote wire (blue) of your HU. A bypass kit would deliver better sound and wouldn't require this.

Husky is correct, i had this same problem with my first HU. I believe the stock remote wire is also blue...

cool. i got it working for now, but im gonna want to remove that amp.
