I have a 92 xplorer and I tried to put a jvc 12 disc changer into it. when I put it in I got power but no sound. I tried wiring it many different ways and i still don't have sound:frustrate . CAN ANYONE HELP ME?????

someone said something about if the plug for the CD changer is not in the HU wont play anything

so if the CD changer isnt working properly or something then it could act like that plug is out ill try and find the info for u

id suggest just going back to how it was when it played and see if it works...that way u can rule out any new wires or anyhting
 






Can you be a wee more descriptive?

How is it wired?

FM Modulator?
Aftermarket deck?
Stock deck?

It's a little hard to diagnose "I put it in".
 






it's an after market JVC 12 disc changer and I wired it up the way it's supposed to be wired. matched the same color wire with it's match.

Lol...I guess you didn't wire it up right cuase it doesn't work. lol..Sorry for being a smart a$$. Anyway how is it hooked up the the HU with rca plugs?

Well clearly it's not, because it doesn't work.

I don't mean to be rude, but If you won't put in the effort to type out exactly what's wired to what - what type of deck you have, is it RCA, FM Mod, AUX with an adapter, etc, etc.. You can't really expect us to be able to help you.
