No steering, wheel turns easy??Help please.

My wife called and said the 95 explorer started making a loud noise and puling hard right. She stopped and checked tires and they were ok, she creeped the truck to work however she said the steering wheel moves easy but the truck dosent want to steer, what would cause this??

No steering, now on fire

Thanks but nevermind, she was on her way to work, about 1 mile away when she called ,were in rural saskatchewan, she was going to limp it there, however aparently just when she hung p the phone the explorer started on fire,and burnt for 10 minutes,normally i would have told as soon as their was a problem to stop NOW but its -30F outside, luckily a bunch of other people on the transcanada stopped to help.

hmm.. get pictures and let us know if you figure out what started to fire. how bad is the damage? power steering fluid hit the exhaust?
