This is in my wife's 2007 Explorer V6. I unhooked the battery cables to clean the posts. When I hooked it back up it started up but there is no throttle response. It's idling at around 550. If I hit the gas it will go up to about 575 to 600.

The check engine light and the wrench light are both on. I checked the codes and got

P2102 - Throttle Actuator Control Motor Circuit Low

p2104 - Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Idle

After that the pos scanner quit working. It temporarily worked for several more minutes after I gave it a good whack.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

I was able to get the scanner working again and it looks like there was another code that I missed. P2112 Throttle Actiator Control System - Stuck Closed.

It baffles me as to how unhooking the battery could have caused this problem.

Anytime you disconnect or replace the battery on drive by wire throttle body system with higher mileage it can create these problems. You can try cleaning the throttle body and then disconnect the battery and recheck it or replace the throttlebody.

Cleaning it out didn't work. The codes come back when I try to clear them. I'm on my way to the ford dealership to pick up another throttlebody.
