Alright I have this little squealing noise when I drive off in my car....it doesn't make the noise when i start it up so I cant really find out where its comming from....It's when I accelerate lightly...but if I gun it, it won't make the noise....I usually just turn up the radio and don't listen to it! But now it's pissing me off! If anyone thinks they know what it might be help me out!

By the way I have a v6 4.0 ohv....

its gotta be a belt i reckon. try slacken em off then retighten them if it still carrys on replace them you can get some spray to queiten them but it dont last long

I really don't wanna try loosening the belt myself cuz i'll probably break something, but what tools do I need? and what is the spray on stiff?

I tried to post before and the bloody server died you will need some spanners sockets 1/2 inch 9/16 and may be a 15/16 dont use adjustable ones check the belt to see if it is frayed or cracked also how much play is in it shouldnt be more than 1/2 inch . Allso a bar to wedge between the alternator and the block the stuff to spray on can be got from a car parts place you can get a dry lubracant but be care full of your fingers putting it on
