I've got a whine noise from the rear of the car. I think it might be in/around the right rear wheel. I'm thinking it's a wheel bearing but I can't be sure. I just noticed it today. It only happens at 30+ mph. I don't think it's driveshaft or differential related because I put it in neutral (which would disengage the engine from the driveshaft and differential) and it didn't change the sound at all.

The brakes were done 9k miles ago so I don't think it has to do with them. How would you guys further diagnose the problem?

The rear also has a drum brake for emergency/park brake. Check to see if it is hanging up. Press emergency brake while in reverse hard enough to stop the vehicle, then pull the release. Notice if sound changes, or better yet, goes away.
I beleive this is how the automatic adjusters adjust.

Sounds like a rear-wheel bearing. It will probably whine forever and never be a problem.
