noise in my rear end...

i have a 97 expl. v8 and i hear a noise i think in the rear end, i look under my truck and has oil on rear end wher the driveshaft go in. what do you guys think it is? pleas help me

Pinion seal is bad and the diff has little if any diff fluid in it. Bearings are possibly toast as well.
