noise just under the drivers side

When starting off from a start position I hear a noise just under the drivers side.to me it seems something is loose plus i feel it through the steering wheel it also does it when I come to a halt just like a bolt is not tight, had the car to the shop but they say everythings ok but could be something in steering column

Could be the wheel bearings/hub. My 97 had similar symptoms- particularly noticable at 30-35mph. Turned out that the bearings/hub is the problem .

wheel bearings/hub....particularly noticable at 30-35mph ,thanks diggman33 for your reply it seems the only time I hear the noise is if the car is jolted forward and back just like coming to a halt or starting any other time its fine
