noise with custom intake

yeah I keep hearing this low tone whistle coming from my new custom intake. it's not the best,most expensive filter but same cone design and material as k&n. it sounds like when you blow air over a glass bottles' mouth. i remember hearing about this, just need a little help. thanks.

i get this too with my CAI. only when its hot outside and engine completely warmed up.

Does it only do it at idle? if so, sounds like your IAC. Search the forum here for methods of cleaning it. If that doesn't work, then it needs to be replaced (mine does). Hope that helps.

When I had my Intake system on, I was able to hold the RPM around 2,500 and get the whistle going -- it's just the set up usually. Now, if it's at idle, then a IAC valve could be crapped out.

It's the IAC. Mine didn't start making noise until I installed an intake either.
