Hey can ya'll help me?
I hear crunching and poping metal sounds from my front drivers side. I dont know if its brakes or shocks or what it is. It started when I replaced my front brake lines and switched to 31*10.50 mastercraft MTs. Its really loud when I turn. Could it be my hubs. I have warn manuel hub but I havent greased them for a while. Or are my U-joints busted? Some of my friends said these were the problems. Also This is not related to the above. When I'm driving on the Hwy. My engine lacks power to go up hills in cruse control. I start to lose speed but then My throttle sensor picks up and the RPMs jump to 4000 but I gain very little speed. Like from 65to69 or 70, but I feel that It should be more. Also there is a pinging from the engine but Its not point knock.
Help!

Does any one know if $1014.90 is a good price for 4.10 gears front and rear installed?

Was the Body Lift installed at the same time as the tires being put on? All the vehicles i've been in with a Body Lift seem to pop and creak after a while. Could be the wheel bearings. Mine went out about a year after i got into some deep mud(Took 2 8000lb winches to get me out). Also it could be a radius arm bushing. I have never changed the drivers side on mine, it is always the passenger side that goes out b/c of the heat from the exhaust right beside it.

Brax, you are not alone. My 91 nicknamed 'Sloth' is the same way. You can hear the motor winding out, but the speedo, it sees things differently. I have changed everything that deals with air intake and firing to aleviate this, but to no avail. Check your plugs, wires, filter, 02's,..etc..and make sure they are all up to par. If so, you just gotta learn to live in the fast slow lane :)

Do you have bigger tires?
And do you know if I can use MSD or Jacobs ignitions systems?
If so which ones?

I think, now that you mention it, it might be the bearings. Sometimes I go to the local lake and recover mud logged trucks AND cars. Most times I'm not mudding, but every now and then I just gotta get dirty.

I've changed the radius arm bushings (both) already so I dont think its those.
And no the body lift was put on about 3/4 year ago. I just got the tires a month back.

Thanks for the tip:].
