Driving along in my '97 4.0 sohc x doing about 50-60ish, the tranny was shifting between 4th and 5th so i hit the O/D button, as soon as i did this the tranny made a horific noise. It does it on the overrun, if i'm gassing it no noise but as soon as i lift off the gas it starts. Can anyone help? Is it terminal?
