I spent quite a while searching and reading about this trying to help out my father in-law. He has a 95 with 91k miles. When you are coming to a slow stop, the abs pump kicks in. No abs lights come on and dealer told him nothing was wrong, even though I recently discovered that there is a TSB on it. Seems as though most posts suggest that its the abs sensor on the back of the front rotors or the one that is on the rear axle pumpkin.

We dont have a manual for the truck yet so heres a couple of questions maybe some of you could help me out with.

1. Is there any way to tell which sensor is bad without trying to get to them all?

2. I found the wires for the front brakes but could not locate the sensore on the rotor, do I have to remove the entire hub/rotor to gain access to this sensor?

If so are there any tricks in taking the hub apart or a good link about it?

Oh, and we are also trying to solve the dreaded fluctuating temp guage, which never reaches normal temp. Tried to "burp" it today no luck, going to try new radiator cap and temp sensor. Trying the cheap stuff first.

Thanks in advance for the help and suggestions. Great forum!
