I have a 98 Ford Explorer and I'm trying to figure out how to use my roof rack to properly load a ladder. I powerwash alot and recently bought a 20 feet extension ladder. Obviously it folds up to 10 feet which fits perfect on my roof. I know how to undo the rack and all but any suggestions on how to properly load and tie down a ladder on my Explorer Roof Rack? Thanks

Welcome to this forum! Always distribute the load evenly. You could use stretch cords to tie it down. How heavy is this ladder?

you could also ratchet straps. I used to hold down my spare tire that way. A little different, but the principle is the same.
