Just wondering who has dealt with NSOR and if they are decent to deal with. I'm just about ready to regear and lock and am looking at my options, I will order from whoever and have the stuff installed locally. Also has anyone ordered from the States and is it a decent option. Thanks in advance.

I ordered my lift from the states ( 4wheel parts) only drawback is that you pay duties on it, and so you only really end up saving a few bucks in the long run.

You have to be careful when buying from the US. Sometimes you end up paying more because of shipping, GST and brokerage fees. Also anything that does not fall under NAFTA you will have to pay duty as well.

Thanks for the replies, if no one has dealt with NSOR who have you had good dealings with?

I just realized you are from Alberta. Why would you be thinking of dealing with North Shore Off Road? They are alright, about like any other 4x4 shop. Some prices are good others are a little higher. You should check for Alberta shops. I've dealt with Modern Motors in Calgary and National 4WD in Oakville, Ont (they now have a shop in Calgary). There must be a 4x4 shop in Lethbridge too.

Actually there are three outfits near Lethbridge but I've had bad experiences with one, the other gets most of his stuff from National in Calgary and the other I haven't dealt with yet. As I don't need any of these shops to do the install I really don't care where the parts come from. I do however appreciate your input.

If you are thinking of buying from B.C. don't forget to add the provincial sales tax.

NSOR is AWSOME to deal with.... and if you tell them it's going to alberta they waive the PST.... yes i order stuff from them and thats how it's done.... there prices on a set of iROCK's with shipping can still beat some of the local places as well as some of there lift kit's.... truly decent place to deal with IMHO...

national is ok to deal with but i have had bad experiance with there lead time on part's.... you know.... saying 4-6 week's and turning into 3 month's kinda thing.... blech.

modern is very decent to deal with.... infact a friend and fellow wheeler bought it recently so i wont say much about it other then i have always had good dealings with them.

nsor is great and so is national i live in kelowna so there is nothing local. they are much better than dealing with us parts/shipping stuff

to get out of duty tariffs just tell them to send it as a gift and you pay nothing..

I have had no problems at all with NSOR whenever I have delt with them. I think they are a pretty decent outfit, there sister company is Sport Trucks Unlimited.

Well I sent off my quote request to NSOR on the 10th and still haven't heard back yet. Only two of the three local shops even got back to me with prices and were wanting $900 Cdn for Ecteds where as I got them from Reider Racing for $550 US. Using online currency calculators I'm still only paying $630Cdn.

4.88 gears, Ected's, install kits came to $1634 US, verses $2800 Cdn.

call the boys at national 4x4 i got my 4.88's with master installs for just over a thousand tax in delivered. thats my wholesale cost but you should only pay 20% more than that

call NSOR.... they get a ton of e-mail....

or just buy my truck :D

One of the local shops that got back to me gets almost all his stuff thru National and for the gears thru him were $979 delivered plus tax. He quoted me $895 for Ected's too which comes to a grand total of $2769 Cdn, I already put in the order for $1634 US thru Reider, using an online currency converter from the Bank of Canada my $1634 gets converted to $1848 Cdn.

Yeah I probably should have just called them, but after I got my two other Canadian quotes which weren't even close to ordering direct from the States I just said to hell with NSOR if they don't want my business.

I suppose I could buy your rig but I prefer to install my own body damage.:D
