Nostart again

My explorer wont start when you turn the key on like it should. Dont do anything. It did it a year ago and i changed the starter sol. and it worked fine. Changed it again sat. and it worked till today. I think it may be the nuetral safety switch as i can jump the sol. with the key on and it will crank and start. order the part tonight will find out later this week i guess. Any ideas.

I had a Taurus that did that. It turned out to be the ignition switch.

Make sure your cables are firmly connected and not corroded.
