Not so new but renewed

Just got me a 97 explorer over the weekend. I was a member here all the way back in 1999 with a 2wd white 99 2wd explorer on 35s.
Now, new plan for this 97 is a 3" BL, and 35s. It already has AAL and off brand shackle lift (replacing that with a better sturdier version) and TT (newer torsion key).

Spartan lockers to follow after the BL and tires are installed and see what trimming needs to be done.

I had had 2 XJs on 35s and 1 Land Rover discovery since my 2wd explorer. I am excited to lift this baby and see what it can do, compared to my previous toys.

I am in the DFW area, so hit me up. Love to meet up with some locals and talk cars and hit the trails.

The 99 is long gone. The 97 drives good. No complaint so far. Surprisingly, even a cruise control works after all these years.

The rear bumper was a big pain to fab to fit.

Not sure if the steps are being put on or taken off. Hopefully off. Fab yourself some rock sliders that can be used as a step. Often the rockers are the first spot to get damaged when doing any serious wheeling.

It's off. That is a Land Rover discovery 2 front bumper and I score some Gladiator rockers that I am gonna see if it is salvageable
