The other night my vehicle would not start. When it did, it would idle really rough, and giving it gas only made it cut off. After that, it would not turn over at all. When the tow truck brought it back to the house, it cranked up like a champ. Same thing this morning, it started right up. It had done this a couple of times in past days, but it always started on the second or so crank. Lastnight was the first time that it did not start at all. Any suggestions or same problems?

sounds like it could be an ignition module, or bad spark plugs, plug wires, or coil cap. When was your last tune up? I had an f-150 that did the same thing, and the ignition module fixed it. I'm not sure how much a new one costs. I may be wrong with this. There was someone else on this board that had something similar. Do a search for ignition modules, and see what happens. I have never replaced an ignition module on an "X". also, just to make sure, reset your computer. Just remove your negitive battery cable for about 10-15 minutes and see if this helps. Also, try cleaning your Mass Air Sensor. There is a thread on how to clean it. just do a search.
