I'm having some problems with my 02 Ranger 2.3
First of all I tried searching google and all over for my problem with no luck.
The problem all started when I was driving and pulled over for gas. I fueled up my tank and attempted to start it up, but nothing happened. The starter didn't crank or anything. The headlights and dash lights did dim and I can hear the fuel pump prime as usual when starting, but the truck is acting as if I were trying to start it without depressing the clutch pedal(my truck is 5-spd). I thought it may have been the clutch safety switch catching, but it appears to be fine. I also attempted to push start the truck with no luck. I had the truck towed to my mechanic who had a look at it the next morning, but the truck started just fine for him. I figured it was just a fluke or something, but this problem as happened several more times since. I find that it usually starts just fine when cold, but if I kill the engine after driving for a while then I have problems getting it started again. My battery is brand new btw.
Anyone experience this problem, or have any ideas of what it could be?
