I've got a 99 XLT that I recently put 16" 2002 rims and tires on. I thought I was all set, but the center hub on the front tires prevents the center cap from attaching to the lugs (no doubt due to a different back spacing). Any ideas? It appears I need just under a 1/2 inch. These are the options I could think of:
1. Wheel spacers (not sure where to get or if their too expensive)
2. Longer lug nuts with the lip to catch the center cap (anyone know where to get these)?
3. Putting a 1/2" tall lug on and then the stock luck on top of that to get it to stick out 1/2".
4. Any other ideas?
Thanks!
