...You might want to search using the word "grommet"...Someone a few months back had an issue with theirs...:dunno:

I've had a couple of Gen I's and never a booster problem. What symptoms are you experiencing?

no power brakes.

No leaks?

Brakes are for pu-... wait, family sight... edit..

Do you not have ANY brakes, or is the ABS system just not working?

no power brakes.

in other words...hard as a rock

check the vacuum hose going to the booster, the check valve at the booster and as said earlier check the booster grommet

i've checked all of that, and i've even pulled that hose off of the booster right after i shut the truck off and it didnt do anything! then i tried pulling it while it was running it didnt even bog down the engine.

do you have vacuum at that hose?? if not, check for a blockage in the hose, if no blockage in hose then check for vacuum at the fitting on the engine.

ok will do after class thanks.

Mine leaks a fair bit, but when its running, I don't notice any issues.

I can hear it when its turned off though.

yeah, i pulled the hose last night and the check valve is good, the booster is SHOT!!!
