Go with ravins. They outperform flowmasters and sound very agressive when you mash the gas. I have one on my 91 4.0 and it sounds like I have a moded 5 liter.

Allright, sorry to be an ass. But I still don't get why people would buy a 2wd for wheeling. It makes sense for like towing and stuff, but if you bought it to go wheeling you should have put in the extra money and got 4wd. Sorry if I sound like a dick but did you guys decide you wanted to go wheeling after you bought the car or did you decide before?

i didnt have a choice in the whole 4x4 thing when my dad bought it it was just a 2x4 and i had no say what-so-ever do to my stepmom. the only thing i had a say in was that it would be a SUV. but its still a good truck to wheel in.

When we bought our, we were broke, so we didn't have much choice. Now it's different, but I'm not buying one now. Anyhow, my 2WD X can keep up with a 4WD on most things, so I'm not worried. It's only half car and the other half is all about the driver.

I'm gonna agree with the 2wd guys here...I have a 4wd and there is definitely places I can go they can't, but like I said earlier, When I am wheeling with others they are allways amazed when I get out and lock in the hubs....they have been in 4 wheel for a long time.2wd can go further than you think.

Sure, a locked 2wd can do pretty good, but if the trail is at all muddy and has rocks etc. then the 2wd is going nowhere. It may just be the terrain out here but a 2wd is really not going to do much of anything compared to a 4wd, I know becuase I had a 2wd X before and it could not do half the things that my 4wd can. The only way that I could get places was if it was perfectly dry and I was hauling ass. But it was fun none the less and you can damn sure have a good time in a 2wd. It is good that you get the damn thing off road, that is all that matters is you have a good time.

See the tire up on the rack? That is a 34" SS LTB. I put my BFG A/T's on it for now because I have been driving the Explorer a bit... I have my other 4 SS LTB's in my shed just waiting for my summer fun... The BFG's are better in the snow and for pavement driving.... I am not going to be able to do much more wheeling this winter (got alot work scheduled etc.) but in the summer...the fun begins!!!

Karol, you truck did pretty good up their on the snow at Rausch Creek. Do you really notice a difference between the BFG and the SS LTB?

I'm not sure how the LTB's would have

performed off road since they haven't been offroad with the LTB's yet soon though real soon... I am pretty sure that they would have performed really well in the snow offroad...but the LTB's on the pavement with snow and rain well... kinda slippery... they are workable in the rain but I can imagine driving on snow covered roads for 100+ miles would be a bit of a pain so I figured the BFG A/T's would do for that.... Can't wait to try out the LTB's though
