Greetings fellow SUV'ers.
Figured I've lurked long enough that it's about time to introduce myself. Hi...
Now that's out of the way, I've got a 2007 Explorer Ironman Edition XLT. Nice truck, what sold us (well me, since I supplied the downpayment for it) was the orange color, and the V8 option (sure the 3.73s and tow package are nice, but it really isn't going to tow anything).
Its been our emergency or foul weather vehicle, Or used for long road trips (I'm taking it out to Ohio this weekend...should be good, be better if it gets muddy). As a result the mileage is low, and it sits every once in a while.
No real plans for it, maybe a polished fuel filler door and the auto-dimming mirror, And I'd really like to have the redundant steering wheel controls for the radio (the empty space feels so cheap to me, I need something there).
Hopefully my posting style and humor works here (Expect sarcasm, blaming things on communism and some jokes...good/bad and possibly offensive), seems to work with the other places I frequent. My actual daily ride is a Crown Victoria (police jokes in 3...2...1...), but I've always had a soft spot for Explorers/Mountaineers since we got our first one back in 95...
Here's some pics of the X...
And a pic of the dd...
