Well, the JBA's are on! I've only driven in rush hour traffic so far, so I can't really tell what they've done for my take-off. However, my highway passing kicks @$$! The exhaust is a little louder, as well as the engine. The engine bay is a little cooler, probably b/c the JBA's are coated (why they cost so darn much). The headers, install, another small project, and tax cost $1100 and change. I forgot to take my camera to the shop, but I can get some good pics of the new headers tomorrow. Everything seems fine, and besides a few stubborn bolts, they had no troubles. They told me to stop by next week so they can retighten the bolts.

That's all for now!

Where did you have your headers installed? How much did they charge for labor? I live in Kyle and would like to explore (i like that, explore) my options for a shop to install future mods. Do they do exhaust work as well? Sorry about all the questions but it's exciting to see there is someone on this site who lives in my area. Thanks!

There are two really good exhaust places around here that I know of. I got the headers done at Performance Unlimited (www.per4manceunlimited.com). Labor was $350. Leonard's Muffler Shop is a good place to get custom cat-back. For catback, they're cheap, quick, and tailored to the vehicle (Magnaflow muffler and custom tailpipe installed $200). If you need anything else done besides catback, though, Performance Unlimited is the way to go. And if you tell them I referred you, we'll both get a break next time :) Go to their website: they do a lot of stuff.

Alec, this is too good to be true! I have been looking at Magnaflow systems for a while. I will definitely be paying Leonard's shop a visit this week. Birthday is coming up in October, hehehe. I want to try a dual exhaust setup like another member on this board. I'm thinking of just y-piping it from the muffler. I will dinfinately drop your name while I'm visiting these places. Thanks for your help. I'll let you know how everything goes.

BTW,

go to the Leonard's on Jamestown Rd. off 183. They're usually quicker.
