I always cringe when I have to let someone else put their grubby mitts on my truck. This is why; I just had 4 new tires installed on my '94 EB at a local Mavis and one of their knuckleheads lifted the car from the quarter panel behind a front tire instead of from the frame. Now the quarter is bowed out about an inch at the door seam. The manager wants me to leave it there & if he can't fix it he'll send me to his body shop. I really don't want a major repair on this, any ideas?

Do not let the idiot manager touch it. Is the tire store privately owned, or is it a chain? If it is a chain, you will need to contact their asset management department and submit a bill for the repairs. Take it to a reputible body shop, get a quote and submit it along with photos of the damage. If they are worth a Sh@t they will cut you a check or submit the claim to their insurance. If it is privately owned, you may end up having to take them to small claims court, if the manager refuses to pay for the repair. What ever you do DO NOT let anyone touch it that is not a qualified auto body technician. Good Luck!
