I am new to the forum but have owned more than one Fords. Right now i am dealing with a 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. This vehicle has some mileage on it and still rolling along, until recently.
A couple of days ago the vehicle was driven home and turned off as usuall. The next morning it was found to have the left rear brake light on. Upon further investigation, it was also found that the remote door locks, the interior lights, the power windows and locks are not working, the AC is not blowing along with none of the exterior lights, with the exception of the one brake light is working. When i stepon the brake pedal the light goes out but the other lights still do not light up.
The truck will start and run however, the emergency brake light, the low tire indicator light, the open door light are all lit up on the instrument panel. The Tire Monitor Fault is also lit up.
I thought that maybe the brakelight switch was the culprit of the rear brakelight staying on, but that would have been way to easy.
I have spoken to several local reputable mechanics and they are all stumped by this one. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
