O/D light flashing 2002 EXP!! help

I have a 2002 EXP with 82,000 on it and the O/D light is flashing so i had the code pulled and is says 5th gear ratio out of range I cleared the codes but it came back on.. any idea's

Does it pause after you shift into reverse or back into drive? When the O/D light started flashing in mine, it was shifting poorly-especially uphill and there was a delay when you shifted it into reverse (or back into drive after reversing). It was all fixed by replacing the solenoid body in the transmission. It felt like a completely different vehicle after fixing it.

yes thre is a delay. Where is the solenoid located?

It's accessible if you drop the transmission pan. Do a search on 5r55w (the model of this particular transmission on this board and there is a thread somewhere that even has pictures of how to do the R&R.
