o2 sensor replacement

I need to do the drivers side o2 sensors on my 97 XLT 5.0. I went under and tried the upstream sensor and it will not budge. Ive tried wd-40 to loosen it but no go. Anyone have any suggestions about how to remove these things?

Spray sensor threads with more WD-40.
Let the engine run long enough for the exhaust to get hot.
Make sure you have on a good pair of heavy duty leather work gloves.
Carefully attempt to free sensor.
