I was looking through carparts yesterday and I saw that they have the Bosh O2 sensors there for like 40 or so, and then I hjave a 1/3 off cupon that would make it 30.86. The only thing is that they said I only need 1, I thought I had heard I needed 2. Can someone tell me how many I need?
If it is 2, then I have some beef with carparts, as they said that they cam/caster bushings are for the rear, when there isn't a cam in the rear plus the part was under front suspension parts. Oh well.

Thanks
Chris

The 1991 Ford Explorer only has one O2 sensors. When installing my Borla Headers there was only one slot for the O2 sensors on the passger side.

O2 sensors???

hey what exactly are these things? i've heard of a bunch of people replacing them but what exactly do they do and why would you need to replace them except for if they broke...performance gain?? thanks for the help

They tell the computer information that will adjust the air mixture to be right. The recomend you change them every 60,000 miles, i believe. I have like 120,000 miles on mine and it's original. I believe I will feel a little performance gain.

I put an engine from a 94 Explorer in my 91. That wouldn't alter my exhaust right? Where on the header is it? would it be easier to get it from the top or bottom? How does that price sound (30.86)?

Thanks
Chris

Sounds like a great price. I was quoted $47 from Autozone and Checker and I don't even think they were Bosch! Hope this helps.

Wow, I guess that is a good price. It looks like I'll be ordering my sensor on cam bushings some time this week (hopefuly).

Thanks
Chris
