odd 4x4 light in a 94'

ok this is my moms truck. its a 94' auto 96k 4x4. anyway the 4x4 light stays on real dim when its out of 4x4. it lights up bright when you put it in 4x4. and it goes into 4x4 and 4x4low without a problem. what could this be? i have cleaned the conectors to the t-case. its not bothering anything that i know of?. but its annoying.

btw it started in the spring of 03'. before that it would go odd as normal.

I bet its just the switch itself causing the problem, go pick one up from a junkyard and switch them see if it fixes the problem.
