Odometer, overdrive, and the check engine light all at once!

Well, last week I was headed into work and all at once my spedometer went to 0 and hasn't worked since, my overdrive stopped working, and the check engine light went on --- all at the same time. Any ideas what this means? Thanks

Sorry guys. It is a 4 wd 1996 ford explorer sport with the v6 engine.

Make (merc/ford) Model Explorer Sport v6 or v8 awd etc...
