I bought a set of "oem replacement" fog lights off of e-bay.

Came with the housing and brackets, look just like stock units. the problem is this: the back of the housings look like they take an H3 bulb.... and there doesn't appear to be any way to secure the bulb in the housing itself. I'm not sure what to do here, I was under the impression that the lights took an 899 bulb with 2 wires, not a H3 with a single wire.

I still ahve "most" of the OEM harnesses, the previous owner wired in a set of aftermarket fog lamps that fell apart. I'm pretty sure they are H3 bulbs in those too.... but the new ones don't appear to ahve any provision for actually securing the bulb. what should I do?

theres an adapter that the h3 bulb snaps into before placeing it in the foglite houseing......makes it hard to get a set of hid bulbs to fit

I was wrong. The lights are TYC OEM replacements, they take the 899 style bulbs after all. I went to the JY and picked up a couple sets of foglight harnesses and they work awesome.

I was pretty surprised at how much they add to the front of the truck... i keep hearing people say that the OEM fog lights are next to useless. :) I'll post up pics when I get the chance.
