off-roading in a 2x4??

off-roading in a 4x2?

iv got a 98 ranger ex cab 4x2 4.0 5-speed man
and it sits realy high like as high a a 99 4x4 with the off-road pkg!!!! can you get the off-road pgk on a 2x4??? my truck also has fog light and 3.73ls in the rear.???

Hi ex91,
I don't think you can get a off road package for a 4X2, but you shouldn't have too much trouble going off road if you put a locker in the back. The limited slip is better than nothing, but seeing as that you only have 2 tires giving you power, a locker would make sure that you would keep going.

Yes they do offer offroad packages for 4x2.

i was thinking of going sport but i live in canada and i need the high for the snow ,so if the truck came with and off-road pkg i'll just beef it up a little any ideas????(locker are to noisea for on road use or???)

Not if it is a ARB air locker. It is the only one that can be turned on and off with the flick of a switch.
