I Was Thinking About Doing The Tt And Putting In Shackles........and I Was Just Wondering About How These Would Stand Up Against Medium Duty Off-roading.......ive Heard About Alot Of People Doing This And I Was Just Wondering About How Durable It Would Be
........i Asked My Dad About This And He Didnt Think It Would Be A Good Idea Bc He Hasnt Heard Good Things About Shackles.....................any Input Would Be Appreciated

First, The TT doesnt effect the sturdiness or "toughness" of the vehicle.

Second, the WAR153 shackles are more heavy duty than out stock shackles

ive personally done very serious offroading and often with my TT/shackles and never had a problem. You're dad's probably thinking of the $15 shackles from pep boys.

*not to mention almost every lifted IFS truck on here has those shackles and TT on top..

Yeah I agree with sk1er17 the warrior shackls (WAR153) are very very beefy. I've been on here for quite awhile and have never heard of anyone breaking them....and there are alot of people on here with them. I think you can get them at desert rat

Good Luck!!

Ahh if you have a 91 like your bio says, you can't do a TT..

yea ive recently learned that i cant do a TT by reading.......so how could i do a cheap lift for the front????

The cheapest is by putting f-150 lower spring seats on it. Do a search and you will find TONS of threads about this. If you have any specific questions, i've done this exact lift so I can also answer any questions you may have :)

good luck!

I've done the Spacer/ Shackle lift too, and I do some pretty serious off-roading for the size of my X, I hit the shackles a lot, but I'm not worried about them at all.

thanks alot for the info.....how much would f150 spacers lift the front??

alittle less than 2". Really help the overall look of the truck too ;)
btw. If you get them new goto ford parts network, if you have any questions torrie is a great reasource. I got mine from a u-pull place in 110 degree heat...about barfed, from the heat (what I do for my truck  )

good luck
