This is my third Explorer. I had a 2002 Eddie Bauer and still have a 2009 Eddie Bauer. My 2011 Limited had a lower MSRP than the 2009 and was only about $4k more than the 2002 despite the fact that my 2011 is 4WD and has just about every option other than DVD headrests. It's not perfect but it's pretty close.

One thing that hasnt been mentioned is the safety. I feel pretty confident about all the features it has to keep you out of a crash and the build of the vehicle to keep my family safe during a crash(God forbid). I did three months of research with a 55k budget and picked the explorer. I didn't even care for Ford until I did my research on this vehicle. Relax! and Enjoy!

I've had my Ingot Silver XLT 4WD for a week and a couple days. I love it so far. MFT is awesome. I love the way I can play all the songs from my iphone 4 through Bluetooth. I love hands free voice activated dialing. I haven't had one problem with the X (lol in 300 miles). I love the way my friend with a BMW X5 said wow the MFT is awesome. He had read the negative online and didn't think it would be so freaking cool.

Talking to the sales manager most of the people having MFT problems are either early adopters and need up grades or people that aren't tech savy. I told him I love it. He said his son just bought a new Edge and thought the MFT is the best thing ever.

I took my car to the dealer this morning (to have an alarm installed) and a guy in a brand new Toyota 4Runner looked over and said "wow - I like your explorer" He went on to say he wished he test drove it before he bought his 4Runner.

I've had people in parking lots come over just to peek in. There aren't many on the roads here in So Cal yet. But you can bet there will be lots soon.

I do miss my Mustang GT Convertible though. Nothing beats driving along the coast with the top down.

Have had mine almost a month & have over 800 miles on it...LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I have had ZERO issues. There was the quirk with my phone..but once Mike D gave me instructions, all was well in my media world.

I get so many compliments on the Ex..the style, the ride, the space..and of course the AWESOME kona blue color!

Relax...enjoy that new ride!

Now that I have my Ex, I'm simply not on here too much to sing its praises. If I have a problem? Well, I'll be back around really fast. So, don't let it get you down to read of problems.

I've had mine since the beginning of April and I've almost 2k miles on her and I'm really happy. Yes, when it rains a certain way it sounds like hail is hitting my roof, but I haven't been able to get it in yet to be looked at. The MFT isn't playing really nice with my iPhone. The GPS went insane Friday night and had me driving in the middle of Lake Michigan and then the whole MFT system went dark. The rain sensing wipers are crazy and I'm going to have to have them looked at. BUT I'm happy I bought the Ex and would buy it again.

Well, there is one thing I'd change. I'd get the White color. I got Bordeaux Red b/c I figured everyone was getting the white or black from what I was reading and BR was the next color my husband and I could agree on. Wrong-o. I keep seeing BR all over the place. I do see Black and Gray, but there are more BR in my area for some reason and no Whites to be seen.
