I searched quite a bit, but couldn't find a "set and stone" answer, but I guess that really depends on each truck. I got some great deals on 20x9.5's (all 5x4.5 bolt patterns), with offsets ranging from 35mm to 10mm- what should I be shooting for here? BTW, the truck is 2WD.

Thanks a ton in advance. ;)

EDIT, these are some I've been eyeing down, though, only a 10mm offset, which I think is going to be a bit too small. Oh and these are 20x9's, not 20x9.5's.

$1025 shipped to the door. Though, I don't think they're going to fit the Explorer too well. I went and found some others, American Eagle Boss 304's, they look real clean, and are $1050 shipped to the door. 20x8.5 5x4.5 lug RWD offset (+14mm). Looks like these are the ones I'm going with, wrapped in Goodyear GTII 275/45/20's.

After all this is done, just gonna drop $100-150 to lower the truck a few inches and be done with it. Opinions on the wheels? :p

Deep dish look are the best!

Well, the decision is pretty much final, going with the Boss 304's. Total, it's $1600 to my door for both wheels and rubber, incredible prices I was able to get. Should be getting here within the next few weeks, then whenever I get some time, run down to my friends shop (owns a motorsports shop, aka my 2nd summer job (easy money)) to get them put on and aligned for free.

I'm psyched. ;)

Tried to do the photoshopping myself, pretty horrible and out of proportion, but all I needed was an idea.

May I ask where you purchased them BOSS rims and tires from? That pic looks good. Just lower it some. Y'ud be set. :)

I've been PM'd about this a few times, will just post here.

Found out a friend had worked with this wheel shop online (http://www.discountcustomwheels.com/). Those exact rims are $1050 shipped to your door. Tirerack.com or any tire place will have the Goodyears for $500-550 or so. Puts it at around $1600.

^With that photoshop it looks a lot like you got 24's there. :D
$1600 is a great deal! I know I've seen some for sales at that price and they're used!

Hi draft:

Black Magic runs a 20x9 wheel with +35mm offset and doesn't have problems (except for light tire rub on front swaybar). For a 20x9.5 wheel, an offset of +28.6mm would give you the same backspace, so anything less than that (such as your +14mm) will clear the suspension. I wouldn't want the tire rubbing the front swaybar for a daily driver, and in my opinion, BM's rear tires need to come out a bit, so perhaps the smaller offset would be better. I don't know how close that will come to your fenders, but I guess you can tell us when you get them on. I'm anxious to know because I'm thinking of getting a set of 306's some day.

Regards,
John.

Well, the second gens (at least 98-01 I believe) don't have front swaybars, so not much to worry about. Most wheels made for RWD are made with backspacing to fit the needs of the trucks, that's why I'm really not going to worry about it.

I *DID* go ahead and order these, and actually, sold them to someone else. Someone came in our shop looking for them, and offered $1800 flat out check. So when these come in, we're going to mount them on his truck. Made myself some money, gave around half to the shop for some more stock and stuff.

May end up going with some Concept Neepers, Niches or some Elites. Reason being, we just got our new prices on them, and I'm getting them fully at cost with some Falkens. This weekend we're going to go ahead and order a set, hopefully pick them up by next Tuesday, and have them mounted and done by that weekend (that is, if work and everything else allows). Just about ready to send my dash off to Phoenix Image, so it's kind of alot at once right now. I'll let you know how those Boss 304's look tool man. ;)

Well, this is getting pushed back or week or two while I get new brakes and paint job done. Though, have decided whole heartedly on a set. Helo Diamonds. These aren't deep dish, but they're extremely clean to my tastes and work in the budget well. Never liked the lugs being shown, so ya.

Opinions? These go on order as of Friday if I go for them. I feel in love with this design though.

Never ordered the Boss 304's, work and class had me strangled along with some family emergencies.
