I was wanting a set of these type wheels for my 04 explorer:

However a buddy at work is selling a never used new set of these with brand new tires for 400 bucks!

The offsets are only 1mm different but the Mustang wheel is half inch wider. Anybody know if these will bolt up fine? This topic "seems" beat to death but the issue of 04-05 offsets with late model mustang wheels is still a mystery after multiple searches. Anybody? Thanks!!!!!!:)

Well scratch that idea. I couldn't find any reliable information about this combination, so I went with new tires on the old steelies. Im think it would have fit fine, but would have needed new tires as the explorer would kill a set of Pzero's.

I have those exact wheels on my 05 Sport and I'm looking to get some replica 20" Mustang wheels. I was going to sell the stock 17's for $500 with the tires. I was wondering what offset was correct for the 20X8.5 mustang wheels. I see 25mm and 35mm choices. Can anyone help??

Well the sport trac and the 4 door are two different animals. Your sport trac has the older second gen suspension setup and not the same offsets. You want wheels with closer to zero offset, my wheels are like 42mm. Thats why its hard to find an answer to this question. I do know that you could not use 05-10 stang wheels on your sport without spacers.

No I dont have a Sport Trac just an Explorer Sport. Sorry for the confusion. I found a good deal on replica wheels. They are for the 96-04 Mustang which I have seen some guys on here have. I am just concerned because they offer 25mm and 35mm offsets. I just didnt know which ones were the best.
