Oil Dipstick replacement

Hello,

I recently went to check my oil and noticed the dipstick was dry. I added a quart, still dry. Added another, still dry. I started to get worried and I looked down and saw my dipstick hanging down below my header, there is multiple holes in the dipstick tube wall.

I bought a replacement but cannot figure the best way to get to it.

Anyone have any ideas?

I cant offer any help but when I read your story I couldn't help but laugh. That's one of those bang your head moments. You just have to laugh. At least you didnt put another 5 quarts in it before you realized what was up.
